Hello everybody,

We live in a world where every day we hear a mixture of good news and bad news from all manner of news sources. Very often the bad news seems to overwhelm us and the good news we may hear. The word gospel means “good news”. It’s the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God who came to rescue and transform us taking us from darkness to light. This good news fills the soul with life-giving hope.

John 10:9–10 (ESV) — 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Jesus brings life to us, new life, eternal life. Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit ushers us into the true life that God intends for us. The Holy Spirit brings Jesus alive inside of us and through that, it becomes a life filled with hope, it becomes a life of satisfying living for the glory of God. Jesus is all about life!

What’s on this weekend at Exchange Church:

  • ECY Friday @ 7:00pm at the church.
  • EC Sunday gathering @ 10:00am at the Queens Gardens.
Please remember to bring your favourite camping chair for this exciting event.
  • EC corporate prayer Sunday @ 5:00pm at the church.

This weekend as we share together in our outreach service at the Queens Gardens we’ll be in John 4:1-42 “Can this be the Christ”?

It’d be super helpful for everybody to read through John 4 to help set the scene for Sunday’s sermon.

In His joy,
