Pastor Todd Hall

Todd is the lead Pastor of Exchange Church. He along with his wife of 30 years Laurel, formed a team to plant and establish the church in 2009. Prior to this Todd was a fruit grower who thrived in the satisfaction of seeing delicious fruit grown for eating.

Todd and Laurel love to be involved with their family of Brie, Chelsea, Gabbi, and Elliott, with all their sporting pursuits including netball, basketball, and football. Above all this Todd loves to see the gospel go deep into people’s lives to grow a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. For Todd, life is found, when you find Jesus.

Rob Finster

Rob loves the many and varied growing connections in the Exchange Church and the wider community. He enjoys helping others integrate and find true joy in knowing Jesus.

Married to Julie, together they have four children and five grandchildren.

He serves as a Home Group Leader, Committee member, Elder and heads up the Welcome Ministry. Before EC Rob trained and studied theology at Christ College Sydney and Moore College.

He continues to learn from others and trying to stay slim

Board Members

Dan Petersen

Dan has been a part of Exchange Church since 2012. Currently he serves on the Committee and in the music team, having a special interest in technology as it pertains to these roles. He loves his wife and two boys, tech, audio, cars, the outdoors, and the life-changing power of God’s free gift of salvation.

Leighton Wallace

Leighton is a member of the Exchange Church board. He, his wife, and their 2 children, have been members of EC for over 7 years.

He has operated his own local electrical contracting business since 1999 and is currently the Property Manager at Shepparton Christian College, while also operating his business part time. He loves time with his family, restoring old cars and being involved in local cricket.

Leighton loves to serve and to see the gospel transform lives and develop disciples in Christ.

Doug Andrews

Doug serves our Church on the Committee as Finance Officer and also as Safe Church Officer, maintaining oversight and reporting on our financial resources and our Safe Church policy. Doug has retired from a career involving accounting, finance, and administration in senior management positions and is very keen to use his experience and skills to assist the Committee with administrative matters and to encourage and support our Lead Pastor.

Doug is married to Jen and has four children and nine grandchildren. His extra-church activities include remote hiking/bushwalking and is an active vintage car enthusiast.

Stephen Hickingbotham

Stephen has been married to Cathy for 35 years, having three adult children who also profess a faith in Jesus. Stephen became a Christian in his youth at 15, since then he has been passionately serving the Lord in multiple ministries. The last 33 years he has led a ministry service to the wider church as a developer building software tools for running churches. He has a passion to use his gifts for the Lord’s glory, currently serving in a variety of ways at Exchange Church including Kids Church, Connect Group leader, Board member and church web site overseer.

Ministry Leaders

Jenny Andrews

Jen is married to Doug, they have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Jen enjoys volunteering at the local hospital, reading, cooking and being out in the garden.

A favourite time is walking while listening to worship music, singing if no one is around and praying while soaking up God’s creation.

Her time with friends and family is important and serving in hospitality at Exchange Church is her way to show love to others.

Eva

Eva passionately loves serving the Lord and watching the growth and changes in people transformed by the gospel which has led her to lead the Women’s Ministry at Exchange Church Shepparton beginning in 2019. She is also involved with kid’s church and enjoys learning the guitar and serving on the music team.

Eva is married to Simon and is a busy stay at home mother with 3 beautiful children. Life is busy but a great blessing.

She enjoys adventures with her family, catching up with friends and singing and playing music.

Hannah Gibbs

Hannah grew up on a dairy farm in Northern Victoria.  She attended a Christian school and later went on to study at Tabor Adelaide, where she completed a Bachelor of Primary Education.

She loves Jesus and sees the amazing opportunity of reaching children with the Gospel at an age where they are so open. Hannah is married to James, and likes to get out and help with his work as a fencing contractor.  They have two young children, Ted and Lily.

Hannah enjoys playing both the piano and violin, and likes to get out in the garden when she gets the chance.

Gabbi Hall

Gabbi is a vibrant worship and youth leader at Exchange Church Shepparton. She is the daughter to Ps Todd and Laurel Hall, has been with the church since it was first founded in 2011.

She has lived in Shepparton her whole life and works full-time as materials planner at Freedom Foods UHT plant Shepparton. Gabbi is very passionate about reaching those who have not heard the gospel in greater Shepparton.

She has chosen Exchange as her home church as the teachings and music are rooted from the one truth God has graciously given us, his word the Bible.

Laurel Hall

Laurel was raised in a Christian home with her whole family loving and serving Jesus passionately. Married to Todd, together they have 4 children.

A gospel driven desire caused her to start a Mops group 20 years ago, then 10 years ago she helped plant Exchange Church alongside her husband.

Music is a big part of their family and she loves singing and playing piano and guitar so leading worship through music at EC is a natural ministry.

Some of her interests are sport, board games, food and having fun outdoors in the sun. She loves the country life.

Paul Newcombe

Paul is told he is happily married to Paula; they have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. They moved to the Goulburn Valley 3 years ago from N.S.W. After looking around for a bible-based church, they attended Exchange Church. The true bible-based teaching of Christ and the church family /community has seen them both grow in Christ.

He currently serves in Men’s Ministry and loves helping and encouraging men and their families to know Christ. He also assists with Kid’s church.

Time with his family, camping, fly fishing and competing in wood chopping events are his joys in life.

Cath Stone

Cath serves as Worship Media Co-ordinator and Roster Co-ordinator for Exchange Church.  Cath and her husband Jeff have worshipped at Exchange Church since 2016.

Cath grew up in a home where her whole family worshipped and walked with God.  Cath became a Christian as a young teenager.  While attending University, Cath resolved to follow and worship God with her whole heart.

After Jeff and Cath married, Cath has served and led in various ministries in the churches they attended including: Youth Ministry, Kids Club, Playgroup, Ladies’ Bible studies, Church leadership and Church Treasurer.  Cath and Jeff have 4 adult children and 3 grandchildren.

Jess Stone

Jess is a leader of the Exchange Youth, co-leader of Exchange Young Adults and is part of the music team. She is passionate about helping people connect and journeying through life, as a family in Christ.

Jess has many years of experience working with youth and young adults. After completing her degree as a teacher, she returned to Shepparton and teaches in a local school.

Jess enjoys music, playing the keyboard and singing. In her spare time, she loves to draw and read a good book. She is always up for a chat and enjoys hanging out with family and friends.

Sharon Thomas

Sharon is one of the Young Adults leaders at Exchange Church. She is a local optometrist and completed her Bachelor of Vision Science / Master of Optometry in Geelong.

Sharon grew up in Shepparton and upon returning after university, loves to organise events to connect the young adults of Exchange Church together. She also plays the violin in the church music team and is a member of the Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra.

When Sharon manages to find spare time, she enjoys catching up with family and friends or sitting down to read a good book.
