Hello all,

When Jesus was upon the earth He did amazing work at lifting up women to give them equality alongside men of dignity, respect, value, and worth. Jesus had a large following of ladies who cared and tended to the needs of He and His disciples. At His tomb, Jesus had it that women would be the first there to witness His resurrection.

Luke 24:1 (ESV) — 1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared.
Luke 24:10 (ESV) — 10 Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles,

Jesus came to strengthen and transform women in a society that devalued women in general. Having said that Jesus fully recognises that men and women who are equal before the Lord, have different roles to play in His created order and particularly so in the local church.
