Hello all,

Did you know that one of the most loving things we can do for another person is to tell them about Jesus Christ? That’s true! There’s many lovely things we can do for our family and friends, but to tell them about Jesus and His salvation and transformation is probably the most loving thing we can do for them. Jesus has given us that very privilege to do that, He has given us a mission, the mission of making disciples. It can be hard going to carry that out in this world, Jesus also helps us there as well.

Ephesians 6:18–20 (ESV) — 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

Here Paul asks the Ephesian church to pray for him, praying for clarity in speaking about Jesus and also boldness in speaking about Jesus. Prayer is an integral part of carrying out the mission of love in telling people about Jesus. The power of prayer and the mission go hand in hand.
