Hello all,

God has ordained that in life one generation follows another generation of people. And in these following generations, we’ve been given the privilege and responsibility to pass onto them the joyful redeeming good news of Jesus Christ. God has ordained that we do all we can to help the next generation discover the life-saving and life-changing truth of the gospel.

Psalm 78:1–4 (ESV) — 1 Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth! 2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old, 3 things that we have heard and known, that our fathers have told us. 4 We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.

Jesus ultimately gives us His perfect teaching that liberates and sets us free from this world. We now pass on this priceless teaching to the next generation so that they too will call upon Jesus as their personal Lord and saviour.

This week we start a new sermon series Judges – “God in the Chaos”. We will spend about 9 weeks walking through Judges seeing God unravel the chaos to bring about salvation and His redeeming purposes.

Week one will be Judges 1-3 “The Heat Turned Down”.

It’ll be super helpful if you read through Judges 1 – 3:6 before Sunday. This pre-reading sets you up to be dialled in for the sermon on Sunday.
