Serving

There is something special that happens when we use our talents and abilities to contribute to something greater than ourselves. To serve one another is one of the joys of getting involved.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10

A Word

From Our Roster Coordinator

Exchange Church functions as a body in which we can all contribute together in various ministries. It is one of the ways we worship our Lord, by serving Him and each other.

Being involved in the different serving ministries is a great way to get to know others, while receiving the blessing of serving Him.

All roles are essential whether you are in leadership, music, on the welcome team, or setting-up. We all work together as a vital team so that the Sunday services and other events glorify God; serve and bless the whole Church; and welcome the wider community.

As you establish yourself within Exchange Church, we will encourage you to be a part of the serving ministry team so that you too can experience the blessings and joy in serving our Lord as we worship Him each Sunday morning.

Let us know where you believe you can serve and you will be teamed up with someone to guide you.

Gabbi Hall

Welcome Ministry

Each week we have two people at the front door to welcome people as they arrive. If you are married we try to put you on as a couple or we team you up with someone else. This ministry is important as you are the first face new people see and we want people to feel the gospel love in coming to Exchange Church.

Kitchen Ministry

At the end of each service we have morning tea, it’s great to catch up with people and meet new people over a cuppa. The Kitchen duty is straight forward in which we make tea and coffee with the children looking forward to some Milo.

Audio Ministry

The audio ministry does need a person who has a passion in this direction; we do supply the necessary training and support as this person works closely with the music ministry team for the morning.

Online Ministry

This is a vital ministry in which we record the message given each week, which is then placed up on YouTube. Many people watch the message during the following week. You do not need any special skills for this ministry – just a great attitude to learn a new skill. Full support and training is given.

Media Ministry

The media operator projects the words to the songs we sing on the screen. The software we use allows the musical words to be put together at home – meaning there is little pressure when you come to church as you just load in each weeks’ session from the internet. Full support and training is given in this ministry role.

Music Ministry

We are blessed with many gifted people in playing instruments and singing within our Music Ministry.
