Hi all,

If you ever have to go to court to testify or give evidence you’ll be made to swear an oath something like this, “Do you declare today that you’ll say the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth”? It’s obvious here that the court wants to hear the truth. The truth really matters because that’s where we find out the facts so that we can make informed and correct decisions about life. The truth liberates us from the false.

John 8:31–32 (ESV) — 31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

We live in a world where truth is now up for grabs, up for redefinition, in some cases we define our own truth. God’s word is truth and His truth is the truth we need to set us free from the lies of this world. God’s truth is the truth that we can rejoice in with the freedom it brings to our lives.

This weekend at Exchange Church:

  • ECY Friday 7:00pm at the church.
  • EC Sunday gathering 10:00am Sunday.
This week we have Sunday lunch after the service. Plan now to stick around and enjoy some great fellowship with your church.
  • OnBoard Gospel Partnership after the service on Sunday.

This week as we continue in Surprised By Jesus, we think about truth and how the world has unhinged itself from the moorings of objective truth. John 14 “Your Truth or My Truth”

Please read John 14:1-6 and John 1:14-18 to help dial us in for Sunday.

In His joy,
