The glory of God is a central understanding of who God is. It’s absolutely right that He guards His glory and won’t let it be tarnished. It’s a complex thought process but the more God is seen as glorious by us, the more delightful, lovely, magnificent, awesome, and incomprehensible He becomes for us.
Isaiah 42:8 (ESV) — 8 I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.
For God to be truly God, He must not give His glory to another or allow praise to false gods. It’s paramount that we look to see God’s glory and as we see it, it strengthens our hearts with glad worship that God would allow us to experience His glory through Jesus His Son.
