Good afternoon everybody,

I trust you’ve had a blessed Christmas celebrating all that Jesus has achieved for us. As we roll into this new year one of the most powerful truths about God, His sovereignty; will equip and sustain you and me for every challenge and circumstance of the year ahead.

Isaiah 46:8–10 (ESV) — 8 “Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, 9 remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

There is nothing and no one who can do anything to you or me outside of God’s purposes for our life. We don’t know what this year holds out for us in God’s providence over our lives. But we do know this, “His counsel will stand, and He will accomplish all His purpose”. We also know that all God’s purposes however they may look for us, are good and will help us to be more like Jesus.

Here’s where we are this weekend at Exchange Church:

  • EC Sunday gathering @ 10:00am.

For the month of January, we’ll be walking through the book of Jonah – Grace in Hard Places.

This Sunday we’ll be in Jonah 1:1-17, “Wake up Sleeper”.

I’d encourage you to read through all of Jonah before Sunday to help set the scene for where we are going.

In His grace,
