As we approach Christmas Day we still enjoy hearing a number of fantastic Christmas carols.
Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,

It may’ve been a silent night that night, but the fact is that it was a silent 400 years beforehand when God hadn’t spoken to His people. But on that night God broke the silence and now His Son was about to speak on behalf of God.
Hebrews 1:1–3 (ESV) — 1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power…,
In these last days, the Lord Jesus has spoken to us the gospel, the liberating truth of God. What a joy at Christmas that God broke the silence through the giving of His Son for our forgiveness and salvation!
