Good afternoon all,
God is the complete being who has no shortfalls, character flaws, or deficiencies whatsoever. After all, He is God, He’s altogether lovely. The gentleness of Jesus Christ is another aspect that makes the glory of God sparkle like a rare diamond.
Isaiah 42:1–3 (ESV) — 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations. 2 He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street; 3 a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice.
“a bruised reed He will not break, and a faintly burning wick He will not quench…”. That is the gentleness of Jesus, for those who’ve been battered and bruised by this world He will not break. And those who feel as though life is burning with a low ebb in this season He will not quench. Jesus is the servant who came to lift us up in gentleness and fix our hope in Him to overcome this world flourishing in the gospel.
