Good afternoon all,
God’s choice of people He uses to carry out His purposes astounds us very often. In God’s perfect providence, He chooses unlikely people to be His instruments to bring about His holy will on earth.
Acts 22:3–4 (ESV) — 3 “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God as all of you are this day. 4 I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison both men and women,
Jesus chose Paul who was a murderer of Jesus’ own people to carry out the purpose of evangelising the world with the gospel and writing a large portion of the New Testament for us as well. Paul would’ve been an unlikely choice, but Jesus redeems us from our brokenness and gives us new life with purpose to now live for His glory.
