The process of change is a necessary part of life. It’s not always easy, but the right change reaps long-term benefits. The gospel calls us to change as well. That change is repentance, turning away from sin and turning towards the Lord. Jesus calls us to repent.
Mark 1:14–15 (ESV) — 14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
Jesus calls us to repent, to change our minds about Him and the gospel of His kingdom. Repentance is a beautiful transforming work of the Holy Spirit empowering us to change and become all that Jesus has created us to be.
This weekend at Exchange Church:
- EC Sunday gathering @ 10:00am
In this week’s sermon, we’ll be looking at Jonah 3 “Who knows”?
Please read through the book of Jonah to prepare us for hearing God’s word on Sunday.
Why not make use of our great weather for having somebody around for a meal and fellowship? Think of somebody now you can invite home to spend some time with.
For His glory,
