Iron Sharpens Iron - Why?
Colossians 1: 28 – 29
Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.
A Christian is a person who lives their life in community with other Christians. As Iron Sharpens Iron, we each encourage and sharpen each other in our spiritual journey. The Iron Sharpens Iron series is designed to be broad in content – being a Christian encompasses every aspect of our lives. The purpose of this series is to encourage you and to stretch you outside your comfort zone, so that you to may also encourage and stretch others in their spiritual journey. To grow as a Christian is a choice, a decision each one of us makes to either deny ourselves and pick up our cross daily to follow Christ or not.Iron Sharpens Iron Structure
James 1:23 -23
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.
The Iron Sharpens Iron series assumes you are a Christian. The structure of the series is to send you a weekly email progressing you through the series one week at a time. Each email will have a link to the new content as well as the links to all the previous content viewed. Each new video is short to watch. The series is design to focus on one aspect in our Christian life, allowing you time to mediate on the content viewed during the week before receiving the next content. Iron Sharpens Iron is not just about encouraging you in your spiritual journey, it’s also about how you encourage others in their spiritual journey. You can then be equally a receiver and a giver in your Christian life.
